CPD+ HK Terms of Service
Last Updated: 15 August 2026
Dear Users,
Welcome to CPD+ HK.
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) form a legally binding agreement between you and VisionaryPro Hong Kong Limited (“CPD+ HK”, “We”, “Us” or “Our”), the developer, owner and operator of the CPD+ HK mobile application and related services (collectively, the “Platform”).
By registering an account, accessing or using the Platform, you confirm that you have read, understood and agreed to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not register for an account or use the Platform.
In these Terms, “User” or “You” means any individual or entity that accesses or uses the Platform.
Users may hold one or more of the following identities:
CPD Seeker: Professionals who browse, view or register for Continuing Professional Development (“CPD”) seminars.
Seminar Provider: Individuals or organisations that upload, publish or promote CPD-accredited seminars on the Platform.
Note: “CPD” on this Platform generally refers to continuing education requirements across professional fields, and includes similar concepts such as CPT, CLE, CME, CNE and other equivalent continuing professional education schemes.
1.1 To register an account, you must be at least 18 years of age and use the Platform solely for legitimate CPD-related purposes.
1.2 You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality and security of your login credentials. You must not disclose them to any third party.
1.3 You are solely responsible for all activities conducted under your account, whether or not authorised by you.
1.4 You must notify us immediately upon becoming aware of any unauthorised use of your account or login credentials.
2.1 You may browse and view seminar information on the Platform free of charge. Registration for any specific seminar is arranged outside the Platform, typically by following the registration link or instructions provided by the relevant Seminar Provider. CPD+ HK acts solely as an intermediary and is not a party to any registration, payment or other contractual arrangement between you and any Seminar Provider.
2.2 You are solely responsible for:
verifying whether any seminar meets the CPD requirements of your professional body or regulatory authority;
verifying the number of CPD hours (or equivalent) that may be claimed; and
checking the latest details, availability, fees and any updates directly with the Seminar Provider before and after registration.
CPD+ HK does not guarantee that any seminar will be accepted for CPD hours, nor does it guarantee the accuracy, completeness or currency of the information displayed.
2.3 Any personal information you provide must be accurate, complete and lawful.
2.4 All personal data you submit is subject to our Privacy Policy.
3.1 By uploading, publishing or permitting the display of any seminar on the Platform (whether uploaded by you or entered by us based on publicly available information), you represent and warrant that:
you have the legal right and authority to offer or promote the seminar;
the seminar information (including title, description, date, time, location or online details, CPD accreditation status, fees and any other particulars) is true, accurate and complete at the time it is provided or displayed; and
the seminar is genuinely available and will be delivered substantially as described.
Where we exercise editorial judgement in compiling or displaying seminar information (including selecting which events to list, summarising details, or displaying the highest applicable fee), you remain responsible for notifying us promptly of any material changes or inaccuracies.
3.2 You are solely responsible for the content, quality, delivery, accreditation claims and any updates relating to your seminars. You must notify us in writing of any material changes to a listed seminar as soon as reasonably practicable.
3.3 You grant CPD+ HK a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, sub-licensable licence to display, distribute, reproduce and promote your seminar information on the Platform for the purpose of operating and promoting the service.
3.4 We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to remove, reject, edit or decline to list any seminar that we reasonably believe is inaccurate, misleading, incomplete, or that violates these Terms or applicable laws. We may also choose not to list certain categories of events (for example, multi-day workshops) based on our editorial and operational criteria. We remain open to friendly discussion with Seminar Providers regarding specific listings.
3.5 Where we independently input seminars organised by professional bodies or organisations based on publicly available information, we do so in good faith to assist CPD Seekers in discovering relevant opportunities and to expand the organisers’ audience reach. If any such organisation does not wish its events to be displayed on the Platform, it may notify us in writing at info@cpdplushk.com. Upon receipt of a clear written request, we will use reasonable efforts to remove the relevant listings within ten (10) working days. Until such notice is received and processed, we may continue to display the information.
4.1 CPD+ HK is an online platform that connects CPD Seekers with Seminar Providers. We provide tools for browsing, discovering and receiving follow-up reminders in respect of CPD seminars. Seminars may be held in Hong Kong or elsewhere (including online or overseas locations).
4.2 We act as an intermediary only. We do not currently organise, host or deliver the seminars ourselves, and we are not a party to any agreement between CPD Seekers and Seminar Providers. Nothing in these Terms prevents us from entering into separate commercial arrangements (including sponsored listings or future hosting arrangements) with Seminar Providers.
4.3 We may send you service-related notifications, including follow-up reminders about seminars you have viewed. You may manage notification preferences in the app settings.
4.4 Please refer to our Privacy Policy for details on how we collect, use, store and protect your personal data.
5.1 All intellectual property rights in the Platform (including software, design, logos, text, trademarks and other materials) belong to us or our licensors. Reference to trademarks includes both registered and unregistered marks.
5.2 You retain ownership of any content you upload. By uploading content, or by permitting us to display content based on publicly available information, you grant us the licence described in clause 3.3. If you do not wish certain content to remain on the Platform, you must notify us in writing in accordance with clause 3.5. Until such notice is received and actioned, we may continue to display the content.
5.3 You must not copy, modify, distribute, reverse-engineer or create derivative works from any part of the Platform without our prior written consent.
6.1 The Platform is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure or fully accurate. Seminar information displayed on the Platform may not always reflect the most recent updates from Seminar Providers. We do not undertake to remove listings solely because registration has closed or details have changed, unless the event has become a past event or we are otherwise notified.
6.2 Without limiting the above, we do not guarantee:
that any seminar will meet your specific CPD requirements or entitle you to claim any particular number of CPD hours (or equivalent);
the quality, accuracy, completeness, currency or delivery of any seminar offered by Seminar Providers;
the availability of any seminar for registration; or
the outcome of any interaction, registration or dealing between Users (including between CPD Seekers and Seminar Providers).
CPD Seekers remain solely responsible for verifying all details, eligibility and updates directly with the relevant Seminar Provider.
6.3 To the maximum extent permitted by the laws of Hong Kong, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive loss or damage arising out of or in connection with your use of the Platform or any seminar, including any loss arising from reliance on seminar information or from any seminar failing to meet CPD requirements.
6.4 Our total aggregate liability to you in connection with these Terms shall not exceed the total amount (if any) you have paid to us in the twelve (12) months immediately preceding the claim. If you have paid us nothing, our liability is limited accordingly.
6.5 We are not responsible for any loss of data that you choose to record or save on the Platform (including CPD hour records or personal preferences), except to the extent required by applicable data protection laws. Please refer to our Privacy Policy for further details on data handling.
7. 1 You agree not to:
upload false, misleading or unlawful content;
impersonate any person or organisation;
harass, abuse or harm other Users;
attempt to interfere with the proper operation of the Platform;
use the Platform for any commercial purpose other than listing legitimate CPD seminars (in the case of Seminar Providers); or
scrape, crawl, extract or harvest data from the Platform without our prior written permission.
8.1 If you breach these Terms, we may, without prior notice where we consider it appropriate:
remove your content;
suspend or terminate your account; and/or
take any other action we reasonably consider appropriate, including legal proceedings.
8.2 You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from and against any claims, losses, damages, costs and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or in connection with your breach of these Terms or your use of the Platform.
9.1 We may update these Terms from time to time. The updated version will be published on our official website and linked from the App, with a revised “Last Updated” date. Continued use of the Platform after the updated Terms take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
9.2 You may stop using the Platform and request deletion of your account at any time.
9.3 We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms or if we decide to discontinue the service (in whole or in part).
10.1 These Terms are governed by the laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region.
10.2 Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms shall first be attempted to be resolved through friendly negotiation. If negotiation does not resolve the dispute within thirty (30) days, either party may refer the dispute to:
the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Hong Kong; or
arbitration administered by the Hong Kong International Arbitration Centre (HKIAC) in accordance with its rules, at the election of the party commencing proceedings.
11.1 If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
11.2 Our failure to enforce any right under these Terms does not constitute a waiver of that right.
11.3 These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and us regarding the use of the Platform and supersede any prior agreements or understandings.
If you have any questions about these Terms, please contact us by email at info@cpdplushk.com.
